Capybara is an excellent swimmer because it has got webbed feet. It is a social animal and lives in groups of 10 to 40 members. It is the largest rodent in the world. A dominant male leads and protects the group. Its babies are named pups and they are raised by the entire group. Capybara is a herbivore animal and has a lifespan of 10 to 12 years.
Capybara eats fruits, plants, aquatic plants, grasses and its own droppings. It can sleep in water, keeping itself safe from predators. Capybara has a simbiotic relationship with other animals.
